So I came in with a goal to run 3:30:00, so that would mean a 8:00 avg. mile /pace for the whole race. This is a two-loop course, so it is a challenge mentally to keep going after you finish the first half. I came through the first half in 1:47:XX, so I was pretty close to where I wanted to be. At around mile 15 I started to feel an immense amount of fatigue set in and from this point on things pretty much blew up on me. I ended up running the marathon in a total time of 4:41:50, so not even close to my goal. I'm planning on running another marathon, though I'm not certain when or which one that will be.
